NETTY AWARDS

CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE WITHIN THE CAREER PRACTITIONER COMMUNITY

Netty Awards Information and Nominations FormDeveloped in 1998, the Netty Awards are presented annually as a way to recognize and celebrate dedication and commitment to the career development sector, the workplace, and the community at large. The Netty Awards provide an opportunity to nominate career practitioners, programs, and mentors who have made a difference in their career, shown exceptional commitment, provided outstanding support to both clients and colleagues, led the way with new programs and services, and/or provided funding with a great sense of cooperation and insight.

The Netty Awards are presented at ENET’s December Training Day – always the first Wednesday of the month.

Nominators must provide a clear indication of the nominees' exemplary contributions, which may be in the areas of counselling, program development, professional development of peers, commitment to continuous learning, rehabilitation, facilitation, and/or training. Preference will be given to nominees who have demonstrated leadership in more than one of the above areas or who have displayed continued commitment as shown by the quality and quantity of their contributions.

Humanitarian of the Year

Nominees must have made a significant contribution to society at large by doing/producing something beyond their job description (e.g., volunteer work, fundraising). Nominees' regular job must be in the rehabilitation or career development field, but the humanitarian activity may be in any field.

Funder of the Year

Nominees should be individuals (e.g., program/project officers) working for any organization or ministry that provides funding in an ENET-related field. Nominees must have demonstrated exceptional empathy, facilitation, and follow-up regarding the projects/clients they serve.
